QR Code reading tips!

DO USE ASCII alpha numeric characters for file names, DO NOT use punctuation and characters like %^&*/|\{}[]. If you use 'strange characters in file names, they will not be accepted.

This QR code decoder has been programmed to act like an average smartphone. It's not rocket science!

  • Focus and format. (ensure focus and QR code format are GOOD)
  • Image area considerations. (ensure QR code is at least 50% of the image area)

This is a proprietary 2D barcode from Microsoft called a 'Microsoft Tag'. These codes are generated only by Microsoft and a special 'tag' reader from Microsoft is needed to be able to read them.

This is a proprietary 2D barcode from ScanLife called a 'EZcode'. These codes are generated only by ScanLife and a special reader from ScanLife is needed to be able to read these barcodes.

This is a proprietary 2D barcode from Connvision called a 'Beetagg'. These codes are generated only by BeeTagg and a special reader from BeeTagg is needed to be able to read these barcodes.

Shotcode barcode

A Dutch proprietary 2D barcode from a company called 'Shotcode'. These codes were generated by Shotcode alone and a special reader application was required to be able to read these barcodes.

Shotcode became known in 2006 with this barcode, but were far ahead of the market at the time, the company stopped operations in 2008.

QuickMark barcode

A Taiwanese proprietary 2D barcode from a company called 'SimpleAct'. These codes are called QucikMark generated by SimpleAct alone and a special reader application is required to be able to read these barcodes.

Qode
